Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has directed the Road Transport and Bridges Ministry and the Local Government Division to jointly review the project's existing plans and accelerate construction.
He gave the directive while chairing a meeting at the Secretariat on Sunday afternoon to review progress on the Inner Circular Ring Road project, aimed at easing traffic congestion in Dhaka.
The prime minister stressed the need to identify and promptly resolve obstacles to implementation, ensure effective coordination among relevant agencies and set a realistic timeline for completing the project.
He also called for rapid and visible progress in the implementation of the project.
