Prime Minister Tarique Rahman returned to the Secretariat on the first working day following the Eid holidays, arriving at his office at 9:01am on Tuesday.
According to his Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon, the prime minister left his residence in Gulshan at around 8:40am before heading to the Secretariat.
After arriving at his office, the prime minister exchanged Eid greetings with officials and employees and then began his official duties.
Several senior officials greeted the prime minister on the occasion of Eid, including Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury, State Minister for Civil Aviation Rashiduzzaman Millat, the prime minister’s adviser Mahdi Amin, Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani, and Principal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar, along with secretaries and senior officials from different ministries.
As part of the day’s schedule, the prime minister also held a courtesy meeting with Krishna Srinivasan, director of the Asia and Pacific Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Finance Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury was also present during the meeting.
