The Parliament Secretariat Commission on Tuesday approved a Tk232 crore budget for the operation and development activities of Bangladesh Parliament for fiscal year (FY) 2025-26.
The budget was approved at the 36th meeting of the Commission held at the National Parliament Complex with Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Asif Nazrul in the chair.
The revised budget for the current FY2024-25 stood at Tk154.04 crore.
The meeting also projected an estimated budget of Tk243.60 crore for FY2026-27, and Tk255.78 crore for FY2027-28.
At the outset of the meeting, the Commission was informed about the decisions of its 35th meeting, while the implementation progress of the decisions was reviewed.
The meeting also discussed the progress of ongoing development projects under the Parliament Secretariat, said a press release.
