Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Md Mokhlesur Rahman, has said that the special allowance for government employees will be announced before June 30.
However, he did not disclose the percentage of the allowance to be announced.
He made this statement during a conversation with journalists at the Secretariat on Thursday in response to a question.
He is also a member of the committee reviewing the special allowance.
Mokhlesur Rahman mentioned that two meetings have been held regarding the special allowance.
This time, pensioners will also receive a special allowance.
He also mentioned that the allowance, for those receiving it, will be added to their basic pay during the increment period.
