The Ministry of Education has refuted reports of automatically promoting students to the next class without appearing in exams for this year, terming it as a rumour.
In a statement on Thursday, the ministry said media reports saying students will be given auto promotion to the next class without examination in educational institutions were baseless and just a rumour, reports BSS.
“The Ministry of Education has not yet taken any decision regarding auto promotion,” added the release, signed by the ministry’s Public Relations Officer Mohammad Abul Khair.
