The government has taken an initiative to take opinions on the next budget from all sections of the public through a website.
Various stakeholders will be able to give their opinions before finalization of the next budget to make the budget more participatory, said a finance ministry press release on Sunday, reports BSS.
The release stated that people may give their opinion by visiting the (Opinion/Suggestion for Budget 2020-21 Preparation) section of the website http://www.mof.gov.bd, which belongs to the finance division.
Anyone living in Bangladesh or abroad will be able to submit their opinions and suggestions on the next budget by filling up a form, it added.
All the received opinions and suggestions will be considered, said the press release.
The budget for the next fiscal year will be placed in parliament in June by the finance minister. Budget documents will be available in the aforesaid website of the finance division.
