Barrister Rumeen Farhana, BNP's lone MP in a seat reserved for women in parliament, has withdrawn her application for allotment of a 10 katha plot of land in Purbachal residential area.

She declared her decision to withdraw her land request in an application submitted to the Housing and Public Works Minister on Tuesday.

In her application, Rumeen wrote that she is withdrawing her land allotment request as a mark of respect to the wishes of BNP central leaders, activists, and the party’s well-wishers.

Approached for comment, Khairul Kabir Khan, BNP chairperson’s media wing member, said Rumeen made an excellent decision by withdrawing her application.

Rumeen submitted an application to Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rezaul Karim for a 10 katha plot in Purbachal residential area on August 3.
