Border Security Force (BSF) India has picked up a Bangladeshi youth Sri Prafulla Chandra, 32, at Fulbari border in Kurigram yesterday.
He is the son of Abodh Chadra of Kutichandrakhana village of the upazilla.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) sources said a week ago Prafulla Chandra went to Dhaprahaat in India to visit his relative. Yesterday, he was returning to Bangladesh through Nakharjan border number 941 main pillar, when patrolling guards of Indian BSF of Sheuti-2 camp captured him.
BSF informed BGB that the captured youth has already been transferred to a local Indian police station.
BGB’s 45 Kashipur Company Commander Subedar Imran Nizami has confirmed the incident.
