The bouquet and the card extending best wishes to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina were handed over to the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington D.C. by the Indian Embassy since she had been staying in Virginia, USA, a message reads on Friday, reports BSS.
Earlier, the Indian Prime Minister in a letter marking the birthday lauded Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resolute leadership in providing the people of Bangladesh a beacon of hope during a difficult period.
"From development to security, Bangladesh has made rapid strides in its progress towards peace and prosperity for all citizens under your able stewardship," Modi wrote to Sheikh Hasina.
