Bangladesh has strongly condemned a Houthi drone attack on the Taibah power plant in Medina, Saudi Arabia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Sunday expressing Bangladesh’s condemnation of the attack.
The statement said the deliberate targeting of critical civilian infrastructure supplying electricity to the Prophet’s Mosque (Al-Masjid an-Nabawi) was an unacceptable assault on the sanctity of one of Islam’s holiest sites.
Bangladesh expressed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia’s efforts to safeguard its security and sovereignty.
It also reaffirmed its opposition to acts of aggression that undermine regional peace and stability.
