PM, Australian parliamentary delegation discuss bilateral ties

The deputy speaker and chief whip were present at the time, among others

A 13-member Australian parliamentary delegation, led by Milton Dick, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Thursday.

The meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s Office at the National Parliament Secretariat around 3:00 pm, Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Saleh Shibly said.

Deputy Speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal, Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni and State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam were present.

During the meeting, Shibly said they discussed issues of mutual interest, including ways to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
