Labor and Employment Minister Ariful Haque Choudhury left here on Friday for Geneva to attend the 356th Governing Body Meeting of the International Labor Organization (ILO) in Switzerland.
Prime Minister's Adviser Mahdi Amin will also reach Geneva on Friday to attend the meeting, a handout said.
Labor and Employment Secretary Md Abdur Rahman Tarafdar and other members of the Bangladesh delegation have already reached Geneva.
According to the itinerary, the minister and adviser will join bilateral meetings with labor ministers of various countries and ILO high-ranking officials apart from attending the main session of the ILO.
The main session will highlight the steps taken by the government to develop the labor sector in Bangladesh, create employment and implement international labor standards. The Bangladesh delegation is scheduled to return home on April 4, 2026.
