Three members of a family from Fatikchhari, Chittagong, died on Friday in a road accident in Salalah, Oman, authorities said.
The deceased were identified as Bilkis Begum, wife of Oman-based Shafiur Alam of Chhot Chilonya village in Sundarpur Union, their son Muhammad Sakibul Hasan Sabuj, and their son-in-law Muhammad Didar.
Fatikchhari Sundarpur Union administrative officer Shawkat Ali said the victims had traveled from Oman’s capital Muscat to Salalah to visit a shrine. On their return journey, their vehicle, reportedly traveling at high speed, collided with a camel, causing the fatal accident.
The accident occurred around 8pm Bangladesh time.
