National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam paid a courtesy call on Bhutanese Prime Minister Shering Tobgay, who is visiting Bangladesh.
The meeting took place at an auditorium in the capital on Sunday, where they discussed various issues of mutual interest between the two friendly countries. This information was shared in a notice signed by the party’s Joint Chief Coordinator Khan Muhammad Mursalin.
Nahid thanked the Bhutanese prime minister for his visit and for Bhutan’s continued support for Bangladesh’s transition toward democracy. Shering Tobgay expressed satisfaction with the recent progress in bilateral relations, particularly regarding cooperation in higher education, trade, and the ICT sector.
Also present at the meeting with Nahid Islam were NCP’s Joint Convener Sultan Muhammad Zakaria and International Affairs Secretary and Joint Member Secretary Alauddin Mohammad.
