Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Secretary General Kairat Sarybay appreciated on Friday Bangladesh's contributions to CICA and its active role in implementing the organization’s confidence-building measures.
On the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2025 in Turkey, Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain held a meeting with the secretary general.
Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md Mahfuj Alam, the Bangladesh ambassador to Turkey, and other senior officials from both sides attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed all aspects of engagement between Bangladesh and CICA, according to a message received on Friday.
The foreign adviser lauded the secretary general’s role in transforming CICA into a full-fledged regional international organization.
Touhid proposed enhancing interactions between CICA and the sectoral officials of Bangladesh, highlighting it as an important tool for strengthening existing relations, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Both leaders agreed to further elevate the level of existing engagements and explore new avenues of cooperation in the coming days.
