Zambia has invited Bangladesh to explore the possibility of establishing a pharmaceutical plant within its territory, while also expressing a strong interest in importing Bangladeshi pharmaceutical products.
The proposal was made during a courtesy call by the newly appointed Zambian high commissioner to Bangladesh (resident in New Delhi), Percy P Chanda, on Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday, according to a press release.
During the meeting, the envoy expressed Zambia’s interest in importing jute and jute products from Bangladesh while highlighting the potential for Bangladesh to import copper from Zambia.
Both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing trade cooperation.
They also explored potential areas for future collaboration, including agriculture and contract farming, the press release added.
