Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain has said the government is working to bring back Bangladeshi expatriates in Lebanon.
Replying to a question on Tuesday, Touhid said they have been instructed to prepare a list of expatriates wishing to return.
He also advised them to move slightly north from the conflict zone.
"We have asked the IOM to arrange a flight, and they will do so."
"However, the challenge is that flying from Beirut airport is risky. Therefore, we are also trying to find alternative routes for flights," said the adviser.
Expatriate Bangladeshis are in a state of panic due to the ongoing war in Lebanon, with some seeking refuge in shelters or safe places.
