State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu on Wednesday said that Mongolia has expressed its keen interest in recruiting skilled human resources from Bangladesh in different areas including doctors, nurses, and engineers.

The interest was expressed when the non-resident Ambassador of Mongolia Ganbold Dambajav met the state minister at his office at Bangladesh Secretariat on Wednesday, according to a Commerce Ministry press release.

Mentioning that many skilled workers of Bangladesh are now working in different countries of the world with a reputation, Ahsanul said that Bangladeshi workers have great demand in the overseas labour market.

Mongolian ambassador showed his interest in recruiting skilled human resources from Bangladesh, especially doctors, nurses, and engineers, in the construction and agriculture sectors.

Since Mongolia has declared English as the 2nd language of the country, the state minister requested the ambassador to recruit more manpower and students skilled in the English language.

Ahsanul urged the Mongolian ambassador to import pharmaceutical items from Bangladesh.
