Indian external affairs minister Dr S Jaishankar has congratulated the new foreign minister of Bangladesh Dr Mohammad Hasan Mahmud.
In his X, formally twitter, Dr Jaishankar wrote: “look forward to working together to further deepen the India, Bangladesh maitri (friendship)”.
Hasan Mahmud was the information minister from 2018.
After being reelected in the January 7 general elections, he got the task of the foreign ministry.
He met the press on Sunday, his first office day, and said he is ready to work with all despite the current global situation.
