US Ambassador to Bangladesh Peter Haas called on Awami League lawmaker Saber Hossain Chowdhury in the capital on Monday.
"They discussed climate change and the possibilities for US-Bangladesh cooperation," the US Embassy Spokesperson told journalists, while replying to a question about the meeting.
Bangladesh and the US enjoy a vibrant and broad based relationship.
Both sides keep discussing ways to enrich and deepen this partnership with a focus on climate change challenges, said a diplomatic source.
The 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference or Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC, more commonly referred to as COP28, will be the 28th United Nations Climate Change conference, held from November 30 until December 12, 2023, at the Expo City, Dubai.
