European Parliament Vice President Nicola Beer has met with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her hotel suite in Brussels, Belgium, recently, with both sides underscoring the urgent need to end the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza.
The prime minister had reiterated Bangladesh’s position against wars anywhere in the world, highlighting that women and children suffered the most in wars and conflicts, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday.
The European Parliament vice president underscored closer cooperation between the European Parliament and the Bangladesh Parliament.
Both sides also discussed women’s empowerment, particularly in politics, education and the workforce.
