Honorary Consul of Republic of Malta Shoeb Chowdhury called on Charles Whiteley, ambassador of European Union (EU) Delegation to Bangladesh on Wednesday.
Shoeb Chowdhury and Charles Whiteley exchanged views about different issues including the importance of freedom of expression, upholding human rights, good governance and the economic challenges the world is facing at present, said a statement.
"Charles Whiteley said that the European Union is a development partner of Bangladesh and the EU will be always standing by Bangladesh for the country’s further socio-economic advancement."
Shoeb Chowdhury is also chairman, Editorial Board of The Asian Age.
