Foreign Minister Dr Ak Abdul Momen on Sunday praised the Korean model of development that transformed Korea into a developed country in less than a generation and acknowledged this model as a source of inspiration for many countries like Bangladesh.
He made remarks during the newly appointed South Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Park Young-Sik’s inaugural visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Foreign Minister Dr Momen warmly welcomed the ambassador to his new appointment.
He referred to the recent boost in trade, commerce and investment between Bangladesh and Korea.
Momen reiterated Bangladesh's foreign policy motto of friendship to all, malice towards none and said Bangladesh follows this principle in all its diplomatic pursuits including the Indo-Pacific Outlook.
He sought further collaboration with Korea to develop an export-oriented economy.
He assured the ambassador to extend all possible cooperation during his tenure in Bangladesh.
