US Ambassador to Bangladesh Peter Haas engaged in discussions with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's advisor Salman F Rahman on Wednesday afternoon.
In an unscheduled meeting, Peter Haas visited Salman F Rahman's office in Gulshan before proceeding to his residence in the same area.
A reliable source confirmed the meeting to Dhaka Tribune on Wednesday night, yet the specific details of the meeting's agenda remain undisclosed.
Sources, however, indicated that various ambassadors actively working in Bangladesh have been frequently convening meetings with prime minister's advisor Salman. In the lead-up to the upcoming election, the frequency of these interactions has reportedly increased.
