The government has signed a deal to import 180,000 tons of muriate of potash from Russia in the 2023-24 fiscal year.
Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) and Prodintorg, a Russian state-owned enterprise, signed an agreement on Thursday in the Russian capital Moscow, said an official press release on Friday.
BADC Chairman Abdullah Sazzad and Prodintorg Director General Andrei Sergeibitch signed the deal on behalf of their respective sides.
Ministry of Agriculture Secretary Wahid Akhter, BADC Member Director Abdus Samad and Ministry of Agriculture Deputy Chief Badiul Alam were present, among others.
