Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday expressed deep sorrow at the loss of lives in an aircraft crash of China Eastern Airlines in South China on Monday.
In a condolence message addressed to President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wrote: “I am deeply mourned by the news of a most tragic aircraft crash of China Eastern Airlines on March 21, 2022 in South China with 132 people on board. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of the catastrophe.”

She conveyed profound condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family members on behalf of the people and government of Bangladesh.
PM Hasina further added: “At this time of grief, we stand with our national solidarity by the government and the people of China, our trusted and strategic partner, as they face the situation with courage and fortitude.”
