The United Nations-recognized government of war-torn Libya has pledged to bring the killers of 26 Bangladeshis under justice.
In a message of condolences sent by the Libyan Foreign Ministry, Tripoli strongly condemned the gruesome killings that took place in Mizda on Thursday.
Describing the killings as an act of cowardice, the Libyan government expressed deep sympathy to its counterpart and the families of the deceased, the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Monday.
The message also says that the Bangladesh government and the families of the deceased will be informed of the steps with respect to the investigation and trial for the killings.
