Praising Bangladesh’s remarkable achievements in the field of children's education and health, new Unicef country representative Tomoo Hozumi has said that UNICEF will continue to work with the government for the overall development of children in the country.

“Unicef will continue to work with the Bangladesh government for the overall development of the children – from the grassroots to national level,” Hozumi said while presenting his credentials to Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen in the capital, said a press statement released Tuesday.

He reiterated the government’s maximum priority to replicate this performance in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

He further stated that Bangladesh—a signatory of child rights conventions—has committed to ensuring the rights of all children in its endeavor to achieve inclusive development, adds BSS.
