India has congratulated the newly appointed Foreign Affairs Minister of Bangladesh AK Abdul Momen.
Dr Adarsh Swaika, acting High Commissioner of India in Dhaka, paid a courtesy call on the new foreign minister of Bangladesh on Thursday.
During the visit, Dr Adarsh handed over a letter of congratulations from the External Affairs Minister of India Sushma Swaraj to AK Abdul Momen.
AK Abdul Momen is a Bangladeshi economist and diplomat. He served as Bangladesh’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York from August 2009 to October 2015.
He took oath on January 7 as foreign affairs minister of Bangladesh.
