Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended his sincere congratulations to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on her party Awami League securing a landslide victory in the 11th general election.
Putin in his congratulatory message sent on Wednesday also reiterated his readiness to work with her government, reports BSS.
“Please accept my sincere congratulations on your reappointment to the post of the Prime Minister of the people’s republic of Bangladesh,” he said.
“I would like to reiterate the readiness for continuation of the constructive dialogue with you and our joint work on bilateral and international agenda,” Putin said in the message.
He appreciated Hasina’s efforts in strengthening friendly relations between the two countries and also wished the prime minister new successes in her very important activities as the head of the government.
Bagging 259 seats in parliament, the ruling Awami League ensured its return to power for a third consecutive term by winning the general polls held on Sunday.
