An agreement over this year's Hajj will be inked between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia on January 14.
The information was disclosed after the 31st meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Religious Affairs Ministry with its chairman Bazlul Haque Harun in the chair in parliament on Wednesday, according to a press release.
The meeting recommended taking stern actions against those hajj agencies involved in anomalies and fraudulence so that they cannot send pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
Committee members Habibur Rahman Mollah, AKMA Awal, Syed Najibul Bashar Maizbhandari, Mokbul Hossain, Mohammad Amir Hossain and other senior officials of the ministry were present.
