Two-day Korean Story Festival begins April 17

The festival is designed to strengthen cultural exchange between Korea and Bangladesh by presenting stories that reflect aspects of Korean history

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Dhaka will host the “Korean Story Festival 2026,” a two-day film event scheduled to begin on April 17 at the National Museum.

The festival will run from April 17 to 18 and will be open to all audiences free of charge. It aims to showcase the richness and diversity of Korean cinema through a curated lineup of films spanning genres such as drama, action, historical and slice-of-life storytelling.

Five popular Korean films will be screened during the festival. On April 17, Mal-Mo-E: The Secret Mission will be shown at 4:00pm, followed by Luck Key at 6:00pm. On April 18, screenings will begin with Assassination at 11:00am, followed by Little Forest at 2:00pm and Escape from Mogadishu at 4:30pm.

According to the organizers, the festival is designed to strengthen cultural exchange between Korea and Bangladesh by presenting stories that reflect aspects of Korean history, society and everyday life, while offering local audiences a deeper understanding of Korean culture.
