The fifth international group week-long art exhibition titled “Bandhon” organized by Living Art was inaugurated at the National Art Plaza of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in Dhaka on Saturday.
Eminent artist Prof Samarjit Roy Chowdhury was present as chief guest. Eminent artists Jamal Uddin Ahmed, Ranjit Das, Max Group Executive Director Kazi Yaminur Rashid Turjo and architect Mustapha Khalid Palash were present as special guests.
Ashraful Alam Paplu, director of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy’s Department of Fine Arts presided over the inaugural ceremony.
“The vision of this exhibition is to spread peace through art. Living Art successfully completed four art exhibitions in Bangladesh and India,” said Living Art Director Biplob Goswami.
He further added that a total of 71 artists will showcase 142 pieces of art during the exhibition.
Speakers said that the art exhibition is not only held to showcase art but to also develop relations between India and Bangladesh.
The exhibition will remain open to all every day from 3pm to 8pm until November 2.
