The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will begin interviews for candidates seeking nomination for reserved women’s seats from Friday.
BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary General and Political Adviser to the Prime Minister Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the schedule at an emergency press briefing held on Thursday afternoon at the party’s Nayapaltan central office.
Rizvi said that a large number of aspirants have already submitted nomination forms for the reserved women’s seats. In this context, the party’s nomination board will conduct interviews starting at 3:00 PM on Friday, which will continue until 3:00 PM on Saturday.
Rizvi added that BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman will preside over the nomination board meeting, while members of the party’s Standing Committee will also be present.
According to the schedule, interviews on the first day will be held for candidates from the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, and Faridpur divisions.
On Saturday, aspirants from the Chittagong, Sylhet, Comilla, Dhaka, and Mymensingh divisions will be interviewed for the reserved women’s seats.
