Law enforcement agencies in the capital remain on high alert even a day after the 13th National Parliamentary Election, with police deployed at key intersections and regular patrols continuing across the city.
On Friday, a strong police presence was observed in several areas of Dhaka, including Paltan, Kakrail, Shahbagh, Press Club, Dainik Bangla intersection, Kawran Bazar, Dhanmondi, Rampura, Badda, Bashundhara, Khilkhet, Uttara, and Mirpur.
Tejgaon Division Deputy Commissioner Ibne Mizan said that election operations of police are ongoing, with officers stationed at critical points to ensure law and order. Patrols continue throughout the city to maintain public safety.
Special security measures have also been enforced at major government, private, and autonomous institutions.
