In Jessore-4, Abhaynagar upazila Awami League President Enamul Huq Babul, former Noapara municipality mayor, will contest the polls for the ruling party, while sitting MP Ranajit Kumar Roy is participating in the election as an independent candidate.

In Jhenaidah-1, incumbent MP Abdul Hyee, four-time lawmaker and former fisheries and livestock state minister, has Nazrul Islam Dulal, vice president of the district Awami League unit, as his rival.

In Jhenaidah-2, sitting MP Tahzeeb Alam Siddique will contest the polls as the Awami League candidate and clash against independent candidate Radiant Pharmaceuticals Ltd Chairman Md Nasser Shahrear Zahedee.

In Chuadanga-1, sitting MP and Awami League candidate Solaiman Haque Joarder Salun and independent candidate Dilip Kumar Agarwal will have a showdown on election day.

In Satkhira-1, Kalaroa upazila Awami League President Firoz Ahmed Swapan, who is the ruling party candidate, will contest the polls against former MP and Jatiya Party candidate Syed Didar Bakht.
