Awami League filed a complaint against BNP in the Election Commission (EC) on the occasion of voting in the 12th national parliamentary election.
A six-member delegation, led by the party's office secretary Barrister Biplab Barua, submitted the complaint on Saturday morning at the Election Commission building in Agargaon.
Biplab Barua, addressing journalists, said that terrorist activities are being carried out to intimidate those who wish to exercise their right to vote.
He emphasized that the right to vote is a constitutional right of every citizen and cannot be obstructed by any form of terrorist activity, including cocktail explosions and arson.
The complaint was filed to address these alleged terrorist activities by the BNP.
Encouraging the public, Biplab Barua urged citizens to participate in the polls on Sunday, emphasizing the festive atmosphere surrounding the 12th parliamentary election.
He expressed confidence that the majority of voters would turn out to polling stations to exercise their constitutional right to vote.
