The BNP will hold processions across Bangladesh and mass campaigns on Friday to protest the holding of the 12th general election on January 7.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcement during a virtual press briefing on Thursday, in order to drum up public support in favour of the party’s call to boycott the election.
He said the BNP’s like-minded opposition parties would also observe similar programs on Friday, just two days before the election.
