Awami League-nominated candidate for Magura-1, cricketer Shakib Al Hasan urged the voters to vote for their favourite candidate in the upcoming 12th national parliamentary election scheduled for January 7.
He said: “I have heard that people of this area do not want to go to the polling stations. I request you all to go to the polling station whether you vote for me or not. Go to the polling station to cast your vote for your favourite candidate.”
He made the comments during an election campaign at the Collegepara area of Magura city on Saturday morning. Later, he exchanged greetings with the voters there.
The national polls is scheduled to be held on January 7.
