Member of Parliament (MP) from Jessore-3 constituency Kazi Nabil Ahmed on Friday urged the people to vote for Boat to make Jessore a more prosperous place.
“Awami League leaders and activists should work unitedly for the Boat symbol,” said the ruling party’s candidate for the Jessore-3 at a rally in the Sadar Upazila on Friday.
He said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina would gain more power if people voted for Awami League. “It would be a gift for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina if Awami League candidates win in all six seats in Jessore.”
"An anti-independence group is trying to take the country backward again. They do not want the development of Bangladesh. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has made great progress in Jessore like the rest of the country. She has built various educational institutions and roads including a university, a medical college,” he said.
“Most importantly, Prime Minister Sheikh had built the much-desired Padma Bridge for the people of Jessore and the southwest region. As a result, the communication and economic conditions of the people of this region have changed drastically,” added Kazi Nabil.
The 12th national polls is scheduled to be held on January 7.
