The local election inquiry committee has issued a show-cause notice to Rajshahi-5 Awami League candidate Abdul Wadud Dara for violating the electoral code of conduct.
Rajshahi Joint Metropolitan Sessions Judge Luna Ferdous issued the notice for hanging a huge poster on the road divider at Baneshwar point.
The notice says the committee found allegations against the candidate to be true after visiting the area.
The notice was sent out by the committee on Monday.
The committee asked the candidate to appear in person and submit a written response by Thursday. Otherwise, the committee will take legal action against him, warns the notice.
