The DMP chief was briefing journalists after a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal and other commissioners on law and order situation in Dhaka region at Agargaon's Nirbachan Bhaban.

He said the EC gave directives as no chaos takes place and no third party can make any kind of violence during the election.

It is very sorrowful that subversive activities are being carried out to create panic among the people ahead of the polls this time, he said.

But the police have the capability to create congenial atmosphere for a peaceful election overcoming such kinds of problems and apprehensions, he said.
