Nine countries have confirmed to observe the 12th national parliamentary election to be held on January 7.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Seheli Sabrin disclosed the information during a press briefing at the ministry in Dhaka on Thursday.
She said India, Sri Lanka, China, Russia, Japan, Uzbekistan, Mauritius, Georgia and Palestine would observe the elections.
Besides, OIC, Commonwealth and Arab Parliament will also observe the elections, she said.
A four-member EU expert panel is also in Dhaka to observe the election.
She, however, did not disclose the total number of foreign observers.
