Four Awami League candidates in Bagerhat submitted their nomination papers to the returning officer on Wednesday.
Sheikh Helal Uddin submitted his forms for Bagerhat-1, Sheikh Tonmoy for Bagerhat-2, Habibur Nahar for Bagerhat-3 and former Chhatra League president Badiuzzaman Sohag for the Bagerhat-4 constituency.
Sheikh Tonmoy, the current member of parliament from Bagerhat-1, told reporters outside the election commission office that the people would evaluate the ruling party for the development spree in the country.
On the other hand, Badiuzzaman Sohag said that the people would remember Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government for its role in the development of the southern region of the country.
