Awami League has released the list of candidates for the eight parliamentary constituencies of Tangail ahead of the upcoming 12th national parliamentary election.
The party has announced new candidates for four constituencies, and a team comprising various intelligence agencies and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina prepared the list for the eight Tangail constituencies.
The party General Secretary Obaidul Quader disclosed the names of the final candidates at the Awami League's central office on Bangabandhu Avenue on Sunday afternoon.
The eight parliamentary constituencies of Tangail are - Tangail-1 (Madhupur-Dhanbari), Tangail-2 (Bhuapur -Gopalpur), Tangail-3 (Ghatail), Tangail-4 (Kalihati), Tangail-5 (Sadar), Tangail-6 (Nagarpur -Delduar), Tangail-7 (Mirzapur), Tangail-8 (Basil-Sakhipur).
