Four parties have applied to participate in the upcoming 12th national parliamentary election in alliance with Awami League.
So far, four parties have applied to go to the polls with the boat symbol at the Election Commission in the capital’s Agargaon on Saturday. This information was learned from the election commission office.
The parties are Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Jasad) led by Hasanul Haq Inu, Workers Party led by Rashed Khan Menon, Jatiya Party (JP) led by Anwar Hossain Manju and Samyabadi Dal led by Dilip Barua.
The Election Commission (EC) has asked the parties who wish to join forces to participate in the 12th national election by Saturday.
So far, these four parties have stated their positions within the time limit set by the EC.
The EC has given political parties only three days to inform about the alliance.
In a directive on November 16, registered political parties were asked to inform about alliances by November 18.
