The next general elections would be participatory and inclusive, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal said on Friday.
“We want to hold elections in accordance to the law of the land and following the constitution,” he told reporters before attending a view exchange meeting with district election officials at the Chittagong regional election commissioner’s office.
He also hoped that all parties would join the polls.

This is the first visit to the port city for Kazi Habibul Awal after taking charge as the CEC.
The CEC, during his four-day visit to Chittagong, is scheduled to visit his hometown Sandwip on Saturday morning.
On Sunday, he is scheduled to attend a program on smart card distribution in the upazila.
