The Election Commission is monitoring Wednesday's Rajshahi and Sylhet city corporation elections through CCTV cameras at Nirbachan Bhaban in Dhaka's Agargaon.
Election commissioners Brig Gen (retd) Md Ahsan Habib Khan, Md Alamgir and Rashida Sultana were present in the Election Commission control room in the morning.
A total of 1,463 and 1,747 CCTV cameras were installed at 155 and 190 polling centres in Rajshahi and Sylhet, respectively, ahead of the elections.
No untoward incidents have been reported at the time of filing of this report.
Voting in the two elections started through electronic voting machines at 8am and will continue without break till 4pm.
