Dhaka University campus is humming with election activities as leaders and activists of different student organizations have started preparing themselves for Dhaka University students’ union polls while political coexistence continued for the second day, Thursday.

The Bangladesh Chhatra League along with BNP’s student wing Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal and all the leftist student wings who apparently remained off from political activities in DU campus for nine years, gathered at the historic Madhur canteen for second day as part of co-existence and cordiality.

A press conference held at Madhur canteen on Thursday organized by “Sammilita Sikkharthi Sangsad” (Combined Student Alliance), a platform of TSC based 22 socio-cultural organizations suggested the ruling Awami League backed Chhatra League to prepare their panel with those who are in favor of the Liberation War.

While reading out a written statement President of Dhaka University Debating Society (DUDS) Rakib Sirazi said: “We will not be with them who make their panel with anti-Liberation forces. We welcome university authorities for setting polling booths inside the hall.”
