BNP's candidate for Dhaka 13 constituency, Abdus Salam, has claimed that Mohammadpur unit BNP President Osman Goni Shahjahan has been “picked up” by law enforcement.
On Wednesday, Salam submitted a complaint, regarding this situation, to the Election Commission.
He said: "While returning from the Election Commission office, I dropped Osman off in front of IDB Bhaban, Agargaon. He later was picked up from that area by law enforcement agencies."
However Mohammadpur police station Officer-in-Charge Jamal Uddin Mir and Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station Officer-in-Charge Gopal Ganesh Biswas denied the claims made by Abdus Salam—and said they did not arrest or detain Mohammadpur unit BNP President Osman Goni.
